Los Angeles

The French Cultural Service office in Los Angeles develops cultural and educational projects and initiatives. Under the direction of the French Ambassador to the United States and the Cultural Advisor in New York, its mandate is to promote and sustain high-spirited exchanges between the most promising French and American artists, writers, thinkers and educators in the jurisdiction: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada (S.), New Mexico, and Southern California. 

Programs, projects or initiatives benefitting from the support of the Cultural Office, in conjunction with the Embassy of France in the United States are usually also supported by the non-profit partner FACE and Institut Francais.




Genocides of the 20th Century Exhibition

The exhibition, Genocides of the 20th Century is currently being presented at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona. Created and made possible by the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris, this presentation seeks to bring together three of the most remembered genocides of the twentieth century - the Armenians of the Ottoman Empire, the Jews of Europe, and the Rwandan Tutsis - in order to not only heighten awareness of their effects in today's world, but also to pay homage to its lasting memory.
