The French Cultural Service office in Los Angeles develops cultural and educational projects and initiatives. Under the direction of the French Ambassador to the United States and the Cultural Advisor in New York, its mandate is to promote and sustain high-spirited exchanges between the most promising French and American artists, writers, thinkers and educators in the jurisdiction: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada (S.), New Mexico, and Southern California. 

Programs, projects or initiatives benefitting from the support of the Cultural Office, in conjunction with the Embassy of France in the United States are usually also supported by the non-profit partner FACE and Institut Francais.

Prouvost is known for her films and mixed-media installations and Sartor for her small-scale portraits of women.

Chateaubriand Fellowship 2016/2017 call for proposal is now open !

The Higher Education department of the French Embassy is pleased to inform you that the Chateaubriand Fellowship Call for applications for the academic year 2016/2017 is now open. Every year, it allows doctorate students enrolled in American universities to conduct research in France for up to 9 months.
