La Poste française at the World Stamp Show – NY 2016

May 10, 2016 | By French Culture

For the first time this spring, the French Postal Service (La Poste française), represented by Phil@poste, will be present at the World Stamp Show - NY 2016. The show, which will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan from Saturday, May 28 through Saturday, June 4, 2016, will feature over 150 stamp dealers, 50 postal bureaus, several lectures and ceremonies, and even a "Beginner Pavilion."

The show will have an international slant this year and will include exhibits from over 75 countries. International stamp exhibitions of this kind have been held only once per decade and began in 1926.

To mark the occasion and highlight its international development goals, La Poste française has created four collector stamps that celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. These, along with an exceptional selection of the most beautiful stamps and gems of French philately, will be on display during the World Stamp Show. Visit the French Postal Service at booth GG116.
