They also serve hundreds of non-Francophone families who want to give their kids the gift of bilingualism. A true bilingual revolution is taking place in New York's public schools. In order to succeed, French-English bilingual programs require very qualified and dedicated teachers.

On January 18, 2013, a dual Legion of Honor Medal Ceremony was held for Stephen G. Emerson, M.D., Ph.D. and Professor Joseph E. Stiglitz. François Delattre, Ambassador of France to the United States, officiated at the ceremony which took place during a reception at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York.
