The Times They Are A-changin'...

On May 24, 2011, Bob Dylan will turn 70 and the hype is huge, not only in the US but also in France where many special publications are scheduled to be released for the occasion. Among them, the remarkable work by the famous US biographer Daniel Mark Epstein, The Ballad of Bob Dylan, a Portrait, and a new edition of the classic book by the rock critic Greil Marcus, Like a Rolling Stone, both translated into French.

Indeed, the French have always been fond of this kind of national American hero - not only the folk singer of Blowin’ in the Wind, but a true poet (he received a honorary Pultizer Prize in 2008). What better way to celebrate a French-American cultural friendship: Happy Birthday, Mister Robert Zimmerman!
