Graphic Novelist Ludovic Debeurme At The 2006 Pen World Voices Festival

Graphic novelist Ludovic Debeurme got his breakthrough in 2006 with the release of Lucille, a captivating story that won the René Goscinny Prize and was named one of the five “Essential” graphic novels of the Angoulême International Comics Festival. This year Lucille will make its English-language debut with Top Shelf Productions, and a sequel to the novel, Renée, will be published in France.

Other books by the author include the acclaimed Céfalus and Mes ailes d’homme, the autobiographical story collection Ludologie, and youth-oriented illustrated editions of the classics Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Chancellor, and Gargantua.

The above video of Ludovic Debeurme in a conversation with Norwegian writer Kjersti Annesdatter Skomsvold was recorded at the Pen World Voices Festival at the Lunchtime Literary Conversations series at the Maison Française of NYU.
