How to Make the Most of A Night of Philosophy

On February 2, 2019, pull an all-nighter with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and Brooklyn Public Library during our free marathon of philosophical debate, performances, screenings, readings, and music, A Night of Philosophy and Ideas.

Here’s a quick guide for newbies and seasoned Night of Philosophy-goers alike on how to navigate the 12-hour night.

Get there after midnight.
Night owls, this is your time to shine. Some of the best talks and art experiences will unfold in the wee hours of the morning.

Sign up early for the VR experience.
Register early so you don’t miss out on this year's VR and 360 experiences.

Get a map.
The best way to navigate the 12-hour philosophical happening is with a trusty map in hand.

Grab a free coffee in the Youth Wing.
Getting sleepy? Nespresso will be fueling your philosophical musings all night, from 7pm to 7am.

Take a nap.
Need a quick snooze? Make sure to stay out of the way of heavy foot traffic and raging music and you’re guaranteed a few minutes of shut-eye.

Bring friends!
A Night of Philosophy and Ideas is more fun with buddies, who you can bounce your revolutionary theories off of at 4am without judgment.
