Co-presented by Van Cleef & Arpels and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, The Albertine Prize brings together favorites of contemporary French fiction, chosen by American readers. Ten French titles translated into English and distributed between January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2017 invite readers to discover some amazing titles, specially selected by Albertine’s expert staff.

Voting begins March 14 and runs through April 30 online. The Albertine Prize Honorary Chair, Lydia Davis and French literary critic and TV and radio host François Busnel will announce the winner of the prize on June 6, 2017.

Want to get involved? Then pick up a book, if you read it and like it, vote for it. Participants are encouraged to vote twice: once during the first round (March 17-April 14) from a selection of ten titles, and again during a final round (April 14-30) from a selection of 3 titles. To be a qualified voter, one must be present in the United States for their vote to be accepted, and be willing to provide their name and email address.
