More than 225 authors will appear at the annual Texas Book Festival on Oct 26 and 27 in and around the State Capitol, Austin.

French author Jean-Christophe Valtat will be one of them. Born in 1968 and educated at the École Normale Supérieure and the Sorbonne, he lives in Montpelier, where he teaches comparative literature. He will present "Luminous Chaos : a novel", book two in "The Mysteries of New Venice", the steampunk adventure series The Guardian called a "magnificent achievement".
