LACMA's Distinguished Architects Lecture Series is proud to present French architect and landscape designer Odile Decq! It will be held December 9th at 7:30PM.

Decq is recognized for her unique and individual architecture style. She was catapulted to international renown when in 1990 she was chosen to design La Banque Populaire de l'Ouest Headquarters in Rennes. Her work materializes a complete universe that embraces urban planning, architecture, design, and art.

She has designed building across the world, from her backyard of France to Nanjing, China. She was awarded a Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale in 1996 and more recently Maison & Objet’s Designer of the Year in 2013, the Prix Femme Architecte in 2013, and the French Architecture Academy’s Médaille de Vermeil et d’Honneur in 2014. Decq also won the Jane Drew Prize in the 2016 Architectural Review's Women in Architecture Awards.

Although she has been teaching architecture for the past 25 years, she opened her own architecture school in Lyon in 2014: Confluence Institute for Innovation and Creative Strategies in Architecture.
