To the great surprise of Editions de Fallois publishing house, a cyber rumor stating that Warner Bros has acquired the rights to Joël Dicker's novel, The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair has been circulating the web.

The claim was published first by Deadline Hollywood and soon after by Variety with headlines utilizing the novel's prestige as a "Global Book Sensation" and appealing to big Hollywood names with titles such as "Ron Howard to Direct".

Editions de Fallois wishes to officially and formally deny this rumour and take the opportunity to affirm that Warner Bros is not responsible for spreading the allegations.
