Born in 1945, Hédi Kaddour is a poet, novelist and translator (German, Arabic and English ). He is the author of two novels, Waltenberg and Savoir-Vivre, of a journal, Les Pierres qui montent, notes et croquis de l’année 2010, and of several collections of poetry, all published by Gallimard.
Yale University Press published in 2010 a selection of his poems in English under the title Treason. Kaddour who currently teaches at the at the École Normale Supérieure won the 2005 Prix Goncourt du Premier Roman (First Novel) for Waltenberg (Gallimard 2005 / translated by Random House, 2007).
