As we mark days of independence for both of our countries, with Bastille Day for France and Independence Day for the U.S., we celebrate exciting new projects that unite us in a discussion around the tech sphere.  In June, La French Touch Conference united leaders in the digital, tech, lifestyle and design fields in France and New York.  Fleur Pellerin, French Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Tourism, and French Nationals Living Abroad, and Axelle Lemaire, French Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, both spoke at the conference.  Lemaire highlighted the strong bond between France and New York and the importance of the French tech eco system.  She also visited the New York Times, The New York Public Radio, the New Museum, and ABC News, getting an in-depth look at the latest innovation on this side of the Atlantic.

Innovation also drove the conversation at the Trilateral Innovation Conference.  There, the United States, Israel, and France, three international leaders, came together to compare different approaches taken by the countries on innovation policy.  Specifically, the conference looked at how the private sector responds to and builds upon government policies to best advance the tech field.

Both mind-opening conferences strengthened the bond between France and the U.S. and brought tech to the forefront in our international exchange.
