Sculptor Guillaume Leblon : Solo Exhbition

MASS MoCA is proud to present the first solo exhibition of Paris-based sculptor Guillaume Leblon’s work in a U.S. museum. The exhbition will feature a selection of works made over the last decade. Leblon’s practice is characterized both by its diversity and the artist’s canny manipulation of space. While he creates powerful, discrete objects, he often choreographs his works into a larger spatial narrative within his exhibition venues.

This exhibition presents key moments in the evolution of bande dessinée volumes, from their initial standardization to contemporary explorations into the possibilities offered by the book as three-dimensional object, explorations that have led, in Europe as elsewhere, to a blurring of the distinction between comic books and artist's books
