As part of the Argentine artist Guillermo Kuitca’s first exhibition at Hauser & Wirth in Los Angeles, CA, there will be a staged reading of Jean-Paul Sartre’s classic play No Exit on Thursday, June 13, 2019. This reading will be put on by LA theater company The Actor’s Gang.

This reading of Sartre’s play No Exit is inspired by Kuitca’s own personal connection to theater. It is also influenced by his latest series, The Family Idiot (2018).

Sartre’s play examines the claustrophobia of eternal confinement between three strangers. This reading results in a commentary about the human condition, helping increase the significance of Kuitca’s new work.

This hour and fifteen minute long performance will be the second collaboration between Hauser & Wirth and The Actors’ Gang. It will be directed by Brian Finney and performed by Pierre Adeli, Hannah Chodos, Cihan Sahin, and Paulette Zubata.

Tickets are currently on sale for $10. Don’t miss the change to experience No Exit and be sure to visit Hauser & Wirth!
