Gagosian, a network of art galleries featuring the stylings of modern artists from around the world, is pleased to present new works by Parisian artist Tatiana Trouvé. The gallery will be Trouvé’s first exhibition in Los Angeles— titled On the Eve of Never Leaving.

Inspired by the works of Portuguese poet Álvaro de Campos, known for his writings about 'the notions of time and nothingness', Trouvé’s pieces explore the connections between the material world and the human conscious. The exhibit reflects ‘the ceaseless flow of time against the remarkable endurance of common objects’, thus intertwining realms of the natural world into a mélange of familiarity.

The exhibition will include new drawings from Trouvé’s two related series—Les dessouvenus (2013–) and The Great Atlas of Disorientation (2019–) as well as The Shaman (2018), a life-size bronze cast of oak, ‘partially submerged in a pool of water beneath a ruptured concrete.

The opening reception for the exhibit will be on Friday, November 1 from 6–8pm.
