Les Vibrants at TLF

On Friday March 6, Aida Asgharzadeh will be presenting her play Les Vibrants at the Theâtre du Lycée Français de San Francisco.

Taking place in the war context of 1914, we follow the story of Eugène: as handsome as he is insolent, he leaves for the warfront as a volonatry soldier. He quickly finds exitement replaced with fear and desperation as he is disfigured due to a bomb explosion, becoming one of the many "gueules casées" of the war. Throughout his years of hospitalisation in Val-de-Grace, nothing seems to give him back a taste for life. Nothing, until he meets Sarah Barnhardt who is persuaded theatre will be able to save him. Eugène will therefore follow the path of Cyrano de Bergerac and find himself trapped in the dangers of a love triangle.
