Over the Rainbow at Praz-Delavallade

Over the Rainbow, an exhibition curated by René-Julien Praz, will feature the work of 29 artists in light of LGBTQ human rights, including writer/filmmaker Jean Cocteau, novelist/playwright Jean Genet, writer/photographer Hervé Guibert, actor Jean-Luc Verna and photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. The group show will be at the Praz-Delavallade gallery from July 9th until August 26th.

During our world's transformative stage towards true equality for LGBTQ people, Over the Rainbow addresses the hatred, discrimination, persecution and legal barriers still felt in the LGBTQ community. As change comes to fruition, artists like these occupy the cutting edge and, through this exhibition, pay tribute to those who defend human rights for all people.

Praz-Delavallade is a contemporary art gallery based in Paris and Los Angeles. It was founded by René-Julien Praz, who curated this exhibition, and Bruno Delavallade.

Artists featured: Sadie Barnette, AA Bronson, Matthew Chambers, Jean Cocteau, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Elmgreen & Dragset, Zackary Drucker, Tom of Finland, Jean Genet, John Giorno, Nan Goldin, Herve Guibert, Alexander Kroll, Robert Mapplethorpe, Carlos Motta, Zanele Muholi, Adi Nes, Catherine Opie, Jack Pierson, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Sam Shahid, Stewart Shining, George Stoll, Paolo Titolo, Jean-Luc Verna, Sean-Patrick Watters, Bruce Yonemoto, Jwan Yosef.
