Jazz vocalist, Cécile McLorin Salvant will be in concert at the Hollywood Bowl on August 26th at 8pm! She will be opening for Bryan Ferry, a British singer-songwriter, who will be performing live with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. McLorin Salvant's capitivating vocals will proceed Ferry's performance of highlights from his extensive career as a solo artist and with Roxy Music.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida with a French mother and Haitian father, McLorin Salvant began classical piano studies at age 5, but after developing an interest in classical voice, she began to refocus her studies. In 2007, she moved to Aix-en-Provence to study law and classical and baroque voice at Darius Milhaud Conservatory. Releasing her first album, Cécile, in 2009, she then won the Thelonious Monk competition in Washington DC. Interested in in the connections between jazz, vaudeville, blues and folk music, McLorin Salvant went on to release three more albums. Her second album, WomanChild, was nominated for a Grammy in 2014, and her third album, For One to Love, won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2016.
