Emmanuelle Haim with the LA Philharmonic

Emmanuelle Haim will be conducting the LA Philharmonic on November 16, 17 and 19 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Emmanuelle Haim, a highly acclaimed French conductor who has a personal passion for harpsichord and voice, has conducted both vocal and instrumental music for orchestras all over the world, including City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

She is also the creator and artistic director of the orchestra & chorus of Le Concert d’Astrée, an accomplished group of singers and instrumentalists, which is the ensemble-in-residence at the Lille Opéra since 2004. The ensemble also plays at other concert halls, including the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and the Bordeaux Opéra.

At the Walt Disney Concert Hall this October, Haim will lead a three-piece program containing music from the 18th century. The program will include the Third Suite by J.S. Back; Suite From The Fairy Queen by Purcell and inspired by Shakespeare; and Stabat Mater by Pergolesi.
