Interactive, Multilingual "14-18" Exhibit from the Institut Français Coming to Southeastern Universities

Created by the French Institute and co-produced with the Aefe and the Mission du Centenaire, the exhibit consists of a fresco of 13 posters, organized into 6 graphic compositions that focus on the major developments of WWI.

The exhibit, developped to commemorate the Centennary of the First World War, uses digital technology to offer a multifaceted history of this global conflict. With broadcasting available in French, English, German and Spanish, "14-18" is able to bridge the language barrier and in so doing highlights the many smaller "wars" within the so-called "Great War."

Beginning in October, the Department of Humanities and the Siegfried and Louise Goodman International Center at Cape Fear Community College, the Departments of History and World Languages & Cultures at Elon University, and the Department of Languages and Literature at Austin Peay State University will host this exciting exposition, which is free and open to the public.
