Classics of French Cinema with Olivier Barrot at FIAF

Take a fresh look at iconic French films in a new program at FIAF with journalist and TV personality Olivier Barrot.

Curated by Mr. Barrot, the program will feature films ripe for rediscovery, from classics to lesser-known gems, spanning genres and decades. Mr. Barrot will share his passionate insights at special 30-minute talks at 6:45pm, taking you deep into the social and cultural contexts of the day's film—a true French ciné-club experience!

Mr. Barrot, a journalist, author, and television personality, is a prominent voice in French cultural life. He hosts the daily literary TV program “Un livre un jour” on France 3 and TV 5 and teaches at Ecole polytechnique de Zurich. He also directs a series of public discussions about theater and acting with actors of the Comédie Française. He is the host of “French Literature in the Making” at New York University (NYU), a series of evenings with French writers speaking about their work.

Mr. Barrot will sign copies of his new book, United States at receptions after all screenings. Complimentary wine and beer will be served.
