The monthly French Cinémathèque series at the Avalon Theatre, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, presents the screening of the 2016 film Made in France by Nicolas Boukhrief.

Sam, a journalist, goes undercover in an extremist cell, investigating the growing of the phenomenon. Following his initiation into the group, events accelerate at an alarming rate and soon Sam finds himself in danger as the leader of the cell plans to destabilize Paris.

This thriller explores the duality of desire and desperation that draws young people into the arms of terrorist organizations.

In French and Arabic with English subtitles

The French Cinémathèque series by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States is made possible through a generous grant from TV5Monde.
