LA Dance Project with Noé Soulier

Join the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts as they present the L.A. Dance Project as their Company-in-Residence for their Fall 2017- Spring 2018 season!

L.A. Dance Project will be performing pieces created by French dancers and choreographers, Benjamin Millepied and Noé Soulier, on November 2-4.

Benjamin Millepied and Noé Soulier are both highly acclaimed French dancers and choreographers. Millepied has lived and worked in the U.S. since joining the New York City Ballet in 1995. After retiring in 2011, Millepied founded the L.A. Dance Project, a professional platform for the development, creation, support and presentation of world-class dance in Los Angeles. He also became the Director of Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet from 2014 until 2016. Millepied also choreographs dances for movies, notably for the movie Black Swan in 2010.

Noé Soulier, who currently resides in France, is a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire, the National Ballet School of Canada, and PARTS (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) in Brussels. In addition to dance, Soulier has also studied philosophy and has a bachelor’s degree from Nanterre University (Paris) and a master's degree from La Sorbonne (Paris). With his two interests in dance and philosophy, Soulier is known for producing performances, ballets and installations that question how gestures and movements are perceived by the audience.
