Ravel's Boléro with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra

The ASO’s January 26 and 27 concerts, part of their Masterworks series, will open and close with two of Maurice Ravel’s most beloved pieces: Boléro and Daphnis et Chloe Suite No. 2. Works by Ravel’s contemporary Claude Debussy and mid-20th-century composer Henri Dutilleux round out the evening. Music director Carlos Izcaray will conduct the following program:

RAVEL: Boléro
DEBUSSY: La Mer
DUTILLEUX: Metaboles
RAVEL: Daphnis et Chloe Suite No. 2

Attendees are invited to arrive at 7pm for Concert Comments in the Reynolds-Kirschbaum Recital Hall. This free event will help concertgoers to gain additional insight into the works they are about to hear.
