Bettina Atala in Not All There

Human Resources, a contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles, is putting on an unconventional group show on January 16-28 titled Not All There. The exhibition is focused on the art of local and international artists who use humor to examine serious current events and political issues. This exhibit has a unique twist in that none of the artwork that inspires this show will be present.

Bettina Atala, a Paris-based artist, will preface the exhibition with two live performances of her comedy piece "How To Write Standing Up." Born in Saintes, France in 1977, Atala earned a B.A. in Cinema and has since produced several films and shows. Her shows have been featured at locations such as Centre Pompidou, the Fondation Cartier in Paris, and the CAPC de Bordeaux. Atala will perform on January 16 & 17 at 8pm. From there, the exhibition will continue with Guided Tours throughout January 26-28 and will conclude with a round-table conversation with the audience and artists on January 28.
