Gautier Capuçon with the Royal Philharmonic

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), based in London, UK, will perform at the Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge, CA on January 26, 2018 at 8pm. The RPO will be under the direction of conductor Thierry Fischer of the Utah Symphony Orchestra, and will feature French cellist Gautier Capuçon. The concert will consist of Petite Suite, by French composer Debussy, as well as Cello Concerto No. 1 in C Major by Haydn and The Firebird by Stravinsky.

Gautier Capuçon is a remarkable cellist. Educated at the Conservatoire National Supérieur in Paris, Capuçon performs each season with some of the world's top conductors and instrumentalists. He also appears as a soloist in several orchestral tours across Europe, the US, and Asia, such as this concert. Capuçon is the founder and leader of the Classe d'Excellence de Violoncelle at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. He has been recognized in many international competitions, and was named ‘New Talent of the Year’ by Victoires de la Musique in 2001.
