Artists "Made in France" at Coachella 2018

The famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns this year for two weekends, April 13-15 and April 20-22. The announcement of the 2018 lineup for the festival revealed the usual mix of big name mucisal artists and lesser known performers, and also acknowledged a French presence in the festival. Joining the roster of artists this year are several artists whose careers and/or lives are tied to France.

MHD, the French rapper from the 19th arrondissement of Paris, will perform on Friday April 13 & 20. His music is the precursor of "Afro Trap", a mixture of African music and Trap music.

The duo The Blaze is also not to be missed! One of the most exciting bands of the French music scene, they will perform on April 13 & 20:

Joining him on Friday will be Jean-Michel Jarre, the new-age French composer. Jarre is renowned worldwide for being a pioneer of electronic music. On Saturday, Busy P will perform. Busy P/Pedro Winter is a French electro house DJ, producer, manager and owner of the Ed Banger Records label (Cassius, Cosmo Vitelli, Breakbot, Justice, etc.) who admits to be "looking for the perfect beat since 1989":

The young and talented French DJ, Petit Biscuit, will bring his tracks with unmistakable chopped and twisted vocal leads.

The French-Cuban twin duo, Ibeyi, come with their music that mixes jazz and traditional Peruvian/Cuban instruments.
