Festival de la Francophonie Atlanta

Join the many French-speaking organizations of Atlanta in discovering different Francophone countries through a series of cultural and educational events. Sarah-Elizabeth Reed, former first lady of Atlanta, will serve as the honorary chair for this year’s festival.

This year’s festival features a film, a piano concert, and a “Conversation Francophone” with local French-speaking personalities from the fields of government, sports, and music. Other events include a children’s film and picnic at the Atlanta International School and a francophone-inspired brunch at the Mandarin Oriental hotel. In April, there will be a round table with Senegalese feminist author Ken Bugul at Emory University.

Additionally, two educational workshops, one for students and one for teachers, will be held at the Alliance Française. The theme will be “How to integrate la Francophonie into the classroom.”

The partners for this year’s festival are the Consulates of Canada, Belgium, France, Haiti, and Switzerland , The Quebec delegation , Wallonie-Bruxelles International, Atlanta Accueil, The Ecole du Samedi, The Alliance Française of Atlanta, The American Association of Teachers of French, and St. Martin's Episcopal School.
