Father Desbois presents The Holocaust by bullets

Father Patrick Desbois will be on tour in the United States for the presentation and promotion of his new historical essay, In Broad Daylight: The Secret Procedures behind the Holocaust by Bullets. The author will be giving talks and doing book-signings at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust on April 11th at 7pm, and at the Albertine-French Bookstore in New York on April 19th at 7pm.

Father Patrick Desbois is one of the most active scholar that there is, dedicating his life and energy to advance the history of the Holocaust. President of the association Yahad-In Unum, that focuses on and promotes the research on Jewish victims of the Einsatzgruppen in Ukraine, he received the Primo Levi Prize in 2010 for his work, and was made Knight of the Légion d'honneur by President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008.

In Broad Daylight investigates and reveals the day-to-day methods of the Holocaust by Bullets as it swept across Eastern Europe from 1941 to 1944. It focuses mainly on the role played by neighbors, local institutions and communities. Father Desbois is therefore telling us the detailed story of these crimes, who took place in numerous villages. By explaining the daily mechanisms of these events, the author enables us to better understand the nature of the Holocaust by Bullets and the impact it had on our recent history.
