Essential Cinema: 3 X Jacques Tati

Speed Art Museum will host free showings of famed French director Jacques Tati's slapstick comedy films as part of their three-part Hulot series, Essential Cinema: 3 X Jacques Tati, presented by Free Owsley Sunday Films. The films follow Tati's endearing clown Monsieur Hulot on various journies, from a seaside vacation filled with punchline catastrophes, to confused manueverings of factories and the technologically-advanced city of Paris.

Jacques Tati is known as the master and maker of French slapstick comedy in film, driven by critiques of modern consumerist society, class, and technology. Join Speed Art Museum for Sunday afternoons of knee-slap French comedy, cinema, and laughter!
