Rodin : Realism, Fragments, and Abstraction

Opening on May 20 at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, “Rodin: Realism, Fragments, and Abstraction, focuses on some of the sculptor’s most iconic works, including The Gates of Hell and The Burghers of Calais.

A small-scale model, of The Gates of Hell and a full-size bronze cast of the Three Shades (38 inches high) from that project will be shown, as well as a monumental bronze figure from The Burghers of Calais and a full-scale bronze head of another burgher. Many of the sculptures are on loan from the Iris Cantor collection. The exhibition also features several photographs from the Musée Rodin in Paris.
