Amadou & Mariam

This June, Amadou & Mariam are bringing their blues-rock, African dance music to the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles! The duo and couple will perform their most recent album, “La Confusion."

"La Confusion" was released this last September and includes afro beat, disco-groove funk with songs in Bambara and French. The album strives to honor traditional African music while combining it with modern pop.

Singer Mariam Doumbia, who primarily sings in French, and guitarist Amadou Bagayoko met over 30 years ago and have since been creating African-influenced blues music.

The popular duo combines lively Malian call-and-response vocals with blues rhythm to create the perfect music combination to dance to!
