Modigliani Quartet at The Morgan Library

Modigliani Quartet

On Friday, November 9 at 7:30pm, the expressive Paris-based Modigliani Quartet will perform at The Morgan Library the following pieces from the string quartet repertoire:

Haydn, Quartet in D minor, Op. 76, No. 2 “Quinten”
Ravel, Quartet in F Major
Tchaikovsky, Quartet No. 3 in E-flat minor, Op. 30


About Modigliani Quartet

Formed by Amaury Coeytaux & Loic Rio (violin), Laurent Marfaing (viola), and François Kieffer (cello), the Modigliani Quartet was born in 2003. It is a regular guest of major venues around the world (Carnegie Hall, Paris' Philharmonie, Vienna's Konzerthaus, Tokyo's Oji Hall, among others).

In 2014, the Modigliani Quartet became Artistic Director of the Rencontres Musicales d’Evian, a festival created in 1976 by Antoine Riboud and made famous through its former legendary artistic director Mstislav Rostropovich.
