Invader Invades Los Angeles

From November 18, 2018 through December 23, 2018, Over the Influence, presents Into the white cube, showcasing the internationally-renowned French artist known as Invader. The exhibition, offering an overview of the artist’s achievements from the past two decades, will feature his iconic mosaics along side completely new series and media for the artist.

Invader, an internationally-known French urban artist, bases his colorful works off the inspiration from crude pixellation of 1970s-1980s 8bit video games.

Invader's creations seem to "invade" cities, each with 20-50 creative art installations. He documents each intervention in a city as an "invasion," and now has published books and maps of his street art. Invader currently has over 3669 invasions in 76 cities world-wide.

This exhibition will be Invader's first solo show in Los Angeles since 2005. On Saturday, November 17 an opening reception will take place from 6 to 9 pm.
