Kate Lindsey and Baptiste Trotignon at Clayton State University

Internationally renowned American mezzo-soprano Kate Lindsey and French Jazz Pianist Baptiste Trotignon will perform songs from their joint album Thousands of Miles at Clayton State University's Spivey Hall on November 9th. Lindsey is known for infusing her performances with vivid character while Trotignon has been praised for his ability to create quiet soundscapes and dazzling improvosations

The evening's rich and varied program  expresses intense longing and homesickness by composers forced to leave their homelands for the United States. The two artists will present songs in English, German and French by Kurt Weill, Erich Korngold, Alexander von Zemlinsky, and Alma Mahler.

Tickets start at $15 (with discounts for subscribers, groups, students and Georgia educators), and are available for purchase now. A pre-concert talk given by Clayton State University Music Professor Dr. Kurt-Alexander Zeller begins at 2:00 p.m. and is included in the ticket price.
