France stands at the forefront of another way people interact with the world — Virtual Reality. An emerging blend of technology, art and culture, VR is transforming many aspects of our lives, from how we work, play, learn, entertain, shop, and communicate. In fact, there is a panel, specifically addressing the success of French Creators on the world stage and what contributes to their magic juice. It takes place at the Silverspot Cinema on Saturday, December 1st from 6:00-7:00 PM: HOW TO MAKE AWARD-WINNING VR PROJECTS (Discover the French Artistic Ecosystem) Benjamin Nuel (The Isle of the Dead), Baltazar Auxiettre, and Hayoun Known (Untitled, Innerspace VR) moderated by Acker Voyelle VR producer from On Animation Studios.

Several French panelists will also be present  HAYOUN KWON and BALTHAZAR AUXIETRE (Innerspace VR), JULIEN AUBERT (Bigger Than Fiction digital agency, Paris) and FRED VOLHUER (producer of Spheres, Vestige and Battlescar). Every year we hear from traditional media, TV production and entertainment companies about how rapidly their world is changing and how unstable these changes can make them feel. At FILMGATE Interactive, we spotlight the ways new technology is revolutionizing the media industry and its relationship with the audience. Over the past six years, our festival has revealed how modern mediums and new methods of storytelling can impress and engage audiences in more meaningful ways, adding a layer of complete immersion into a story and its message. Our program seeks to catalyze a progressive shift in the world of news media, digital storytelling and for the first time – video games, by fearlessly embracing diversity, gender parity and all the great possibilities of technology with a thoughtful optimism, said Diliana Alexander, Executive Director and Head Programmer of FilmGate Interactive.
