Oh Boy! Directed by Olivier Letellier

Directed by Olivier Letellier - Théâtre du Phare, Oh Boy! will be presented part of the International Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY) on Thursday, January 17, at 11:15am and 5:30pm, at Plays & Players Theater, in Philadelphia.

Honest and heartrending, Oh Boy!, based on the novel by Marie-Aude Murail and adapted for the stage by Catherine Verlaguet, is a one-man tour de force exploring what it means to be a family, and the importance of coming together when faced with some of life’s most devastating moments.

Translated into English for the first time, Oh Boy!, – a solo performance featuring multiple characters – resonates with all families.

A critical and public success in France, Oh Boy! received the Molière award (equivalent to the Tony award) for the best theater production for young audience in 2010.

Translation in English by Nicholas Elliott
Adaptation for the stage by Catherine Verlaguet
Direction Olivier Letellier
Actor Matthew Brown
For ages 9+

IPAY's mission is to create professional and education opportunities for key stakeholders in North America (artists, agents, and presenters) to engage around support of meaningful performing arts experiences for young audiences.
