French Music Director Stéphane Denève and the Brussels Philharmonic

On March 16, 2019 at 6:00 pm, do not miss the Brussels Philharmonic's New York debut under the baton of French music director Stéphane Denève. The program combines well-known orchestral standards with 21st century music and is joined by violinist Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider.

The Brussels Philharmonic is known for its masterful playing and propensity to feature a noteworthy range of contemporary repertoire. Although a Belgian orchestra, the philharmonic is also well known for its 'French' sound. Brussels Philharmonic is not only conducted by the French acclaimed conductor Stéphane Denève, but also brings a program with almost only French music to the renowned Carnegie Hall: two popular works from Roussel and Ravel, and a contemporary piece by the French composer Guillaume Connesson (°1970).

French conductor Stéphane Denève has directed the Brussels Philharmonic since 2015.
