Early Godard series at IFC Center

Image : "Pierrot le Fou" directed by Jean-Luc Godard

IFC Center focuses on Godard’s early work in its ongoing “Weekend Classics” series. In conjunction with the opening of his latest, The Image Book, Early Godard showcases eight classics from the prolific first decade of Jean-Luc Godard’s groundbreaking career.

From Godard’s revolutionary feature debut with Breathless to his established classics with Contempt or Pierrot le Fou, "Weekend Classics" offers an insight into the universe of the iconic French filmmaker. The series closes the final weekend of March with the satirical Weekend, featuring perhaps the greatest traffic jam in cinema history, screening on a 35mm print.
