French Artists at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!

This summer, from June 4 to August 10, do not miss the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, a free, summer-long experience allowing New Yorkers to come back again and again with their friends and family to appreciate or discover a new genre, acclaimed artist, or world culture each night of the Festival.

This year the festival line-up features the French-Cuban duo Ibeyi (twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz) on June 8. On July 27, The French-Algerian choreographer Hervé Koubi brings also his signature work What The Day Owes To The Night to the Bandshell with Compagnie Hervé Koubi. The piece, bristling with energy and powerful images that evoke Orientalist paintings and Islamic architecture, features 12 French-Algerian and African dancers and combines capoeira, martial arts, hip hop, and contemporary styles.
