2019 Champs-Élysées Film Festival in Los Angeles

Since its inception in 2017, the U.S. tour of the Champs-Élysées Film Festival offers the American public a recollective of its French film selection including advanced screenings of the «New French Generation» in America. After its eighth edition, the Champs-Elysées Film Festival, an essential event to discover the best of both French and American independent cinema, now introduces the program of its retrospective in the U.S. tour.

Due to both the success of this project and the enthusiasm of audience members, the third edition of the U.S. tour will be held over one month in five cities: Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Portland, where shorts and features from the French selection will be screened. These films were part of the main competition last June during the festival in Paris.

In association with the Alliance Française de Los Angeles and UCLA French & Francophone Studies, the US Tour of Champs-Élysées Film Festival is coming to Los Angeles on October 29. A selection of two French films will be played at UCLA:

  • GRANDFATHER by Maximilian Badier Rosenthal (Jury Award for Best Short Film)
  • BRAQUER POITIERS - Chapitres 1 & 2 by Claude Schmitz (Students Award for Best Feature Film) that were chosen in competition.
