Us Rights To Godard's 'goodbye To Language' Acquired By Kino Lorber

Goodbye To Language premiered in competition at Cannes only six weeks ago but the film has already found a US distribution. Indeed, Kino Lorber announced that it has acquired all North American distribution rights to Jean-Luc Godard’s latest work.

Along with Xavier Dolan’s “Mommy”, “Goodbye to Language” was the co-winner of Cannes’ Jury Prize this year. Kino Lorber CEO Richard Lorber stated that it was an "honor to release this ecstatically brilliant, career-capping film by the iconic Jean-Luc Godard". "Goodbye to Language is nothing short of a beacon illuminating the future of cinema" he added.

The film is scheduled to open in New York in late October, at the Film Society of Lincoln Center and IFC Center, followed by a national rollout. VOD and 3D Blu-ray releases are planned for 2015.
