Entity, French Independent Short, Finds Local Us Distribution

French cinema is alive and well. The latest example of its vitality is Entity, a Jean-Philippe FEBRE and Andrew DESMOND film. It is the first French short-movie mixed with the advanced Dolby Atmos sound, in partnership with Dolby, produced exclusively with French funds by an independent video production company, ROSSPROD Prod.

Since editing was completed in January, the film, has been nominated in several international film festivals. Recently, it won the Best Special Effects Award at the HOLLYWOOD HORRORFEST 2014 (LA) and was selected for the Sunscreen Film Festival  2014 (USA), the 9ème nuit du court d’Amiens 2014 (France), the Nocturna Madrid Film Festival  2014 and the Filmest Badalona Film Festival 2014 (Spain) just to name a few. The film will also be presented at the Cannes Film Festival's Short Corner in May.

Ciné+ has acquired the broadcasting rights for the film in France while KQED, Inc., a Public Broadcasting Service-member public television station in the San Francisco area, has purchased the local television broadcasting rights. KQED is broadcast in the Bay Area and carried on Comcast cable TV and via satellite by DirecTV and Dish Network.
