Braquo Wins Int'l Emmy Award

On Monday, November 19, the second season of the acclaimed French television series Braquo won the International Emmy Award for best drama series. Abdel Raouf Dafri, writer of all eight episodes of season 2, accepted the prize alongside with Claude Chelly and Fabrice Larue, heads of the production company Capa Drama. Several representatives of the French TV channel Canal+, which initiated, developed and broadcast the series were also in attendance.

Another French TV series: L’infiltré, created by Giacomo Battiato and co-produced by Canal+ and Breakout Films, received a nomination for Best TV Movie/Miniseries.

The International Emmy Awards, created in 1969, honor the best programs created outside of the United States and are held every year in New York in November.
