Megacities Shortdocs Contest And Festivals

MegaCities ShortDocs is running an international contest and documentary film festivals in global metropolises to support the creation of short documentaries that raise awareness about urban challenges and solutions. For the 2016 edition, amateur, student and self-producing filmmakers can apply from 11 cities: New York, Mexico City, São Paulo, Paris, Cairo, Moscow, Delhi, Manila, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo!

Applicants are encouraged to raise awareness about the challenges and existing solutions
 in their metropolises by highlighting inspiring local initiatives concerning one the following topics: mobility, energy, health, housing, access to resources, business, security, communication, culture, and education. Applicants should create films that are no longer than 4 minutes in duration.

Winning documentaries will be screened via the MegaCities ShortDocs’ international screening platform and at MegaCities ShortDocs festivals in New York, Tokyo and Paris in the Fall of 2016.
