Olivier Assayas's retrospective on MUBI

Image : "Demonlover" directed by Olivier Assayas

Coinciding with the U.S. release of his latest film Non-Fiction, MUBI begins its celebration of the work of the great French filmmaker Olivier Assayas with "The Parallel Worlds of Olivier Assayas", a five-film retrospective showcasing his impressive range of genre-spanning work.

Anchored by Assayas’s Golden Globe-winning Carlos – an intensely detailed account of the life of the infamous international terrorist Ilich Ramírez Sanchez (aka Carlos the Jackal) – the series includes the delightful family drama Summer Hours, the sinister technothriller Demonlover, and an exclusive showing of the rare concert documentary Noise — an uncovered treasure from a director whose deep love of music is apparent throughout his work.
