The Cultural Service at the Consulate General of France in Chicago is proud to announce the second edition of Films on the Lake in partnership with the Chicago Park District.   

As part of the Chicago Park District’s 17th annual free outdoor Movies in the Parks, presented by Bank of America, Films on the Lake presents a concert by DJ Maxime Bonnard followed by the screening of April and the Extraordinary World at Montgomery Ward Park on August 28 in partnership with the Alliance Française de Chicago

Free and open to the public. 


7:00 pm | Concert by DJ Maxime Bonnard

8:00 pm | Film Screening

Free cheese provided by Bel Brands USA. Bring your own chair or blanket. No alcohol allowed. In case of rain, film will be rescheduled.

Set in an alternate 19th century steampunk world, a family of scientists is on the brink of discovering a powerful longevity serum when all of a sudden a mysterious force abducts them, leaving their young daughter April behind. But she soon finds herself at the center of a shadowy and far-reaching conspiracy, and on the run from government agents, bicycle-powered dirigibles and cyborg rat spies.
