The Cultural Services of the French Embassy, in partnership with Miami Beach Arts in the Parks, present the third annual festival Films on the Beach at the Miami Beach Soundscape. This year's program features six classics spanning the history of French cinema, from Renoir to Godard, around a central theme: the city of Paris.

Films on the Beach is a project inspired by New York’s festival Films on the Green organized by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy since 2008. Miami 's 2016 program features two screenings per month from March 3 to May 12 at the Miami Beach Soundscape and, in addition, a special screening of Jacques Rivette's "Paris Belongs to Us" being held on April 7th at the Miami Beach Cinematheque.

Films on the Beach is made possible with the support of the City of Miami Beach Arts in the Parks, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Affairs Council, the Mayor, and the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners, the France Florida Foundation for the Arts, TV5 Monde, and the Miami Beach Cinémateque.
