Love Songs/Les Chansons d'amour

by Christophe Honoré
2007 - France - 95 min
October 24 | 7:00 p.m.

As part of its Fall film series "Dance, Sing, Play!," the Cultural Services of the French Embassy present the screening of the 1964 film Love Songs by Christophe Honoré.

Ismael and Julie lead a blissfully romantic existence in Paris and are as likely to sing their thoughts as to speak them. They meet a variety of equally passionate young people as they wander through the dream-like city, and they invite Alice into their lives and into their bed. The delicate balance of their idyllic world is threatened when death intrudes unexpectedly, challenging them to keep love alive through loss and mourning.
