Called “the master” by Charlie Chaplin and considered a major influence on Oscar Award-winner Pierre Étaix, Max Linder left a lasting legacy that helped shape modern comedic films. To honor this pioneering artist, FIAF brings together some of Linder’s greatest shorts and features, including recent restorations of The Three Must-Get-Theres, Be My Wife and Seven Years Bad Luck, being shown in the U.S. for the first time.
